While the whole world is watching Jon Jones and Tennesee/Georgia, the NBA finds themselves the biggest topic on Twitter somehow. No, it’s not LeBron hitting 2 clutch 3’s and a free throw in his 22nd season to get the Lakers the win. That was kinda sweet though.
Anyway, huge news here for NBA lovers. The first thing I thought about when I saw this is that we’re finally going to be able to get Inside The NBA for the NBA Finals. Inject that into my veins. Best of both worlds here for all the parties involved trying to resolve that brutal lawsuit, and it’s important to note that tweet above that they aren’t going to actually be ESPN employees. I’m not really sure if that subjects Turner to pay for any FTC fines but whatever those are, they’re absolutely worth it if you’re ESPN. Talk about a way to get a quality studio show that people will actually watch on your network in the Year of our Lord 2024.
Disney being the willing partner to maintain Inside the NBA is something out of a sports entertainment fanfic, but lucky for us, we’re all the beneficiaries. I keep rereading the tweets to make sure it’s not some NBA Centel parody. The only thing that’s left is LeBron to be in his 23rd season while I drink LeHennessy (no free ads) and it’s being covered by the Inside The NBA guys while the rest of the league and especially the Celtics universe is in tears. Then we’ll truly have a healed world.
P.S. This is what we almost lost:
