Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital Foundation is hosting their 15th annual Golf Benefit Friday, Sept. 27 at the Effingham Country Club. The HSHS St. Anthony’s Foundation expresses its thanks to their golf benefit co-sponsors Air Evac Lifeteam/GMR and Vituity.
Registration begins at 10 a.m., with lunch being served from 10:30 to 11:40 a.m. as well as a putting contest. The noon tee-off begins the four-person scramble which consists of 32 teams of four players. Golfers can participate in mulligans, on-course contests and more activities. The event ends with a post-event reception featuring a meal, and announcements of tournament and contest winners.
As a fundraising event, costs of the golf benefit will be underwritten by sponsors who support the hospital and its health care initiatives. Michael Wall, Director of Philanthropy, shared, “Donors play an integral role in enhancing the care St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital provides to our patients and community each year. For example, funds raised have supported the purchase of diagnostic, surgical and state-of-the-art medical equipment, as well as funding patient transportation,” he said. “We invite anyone interested in supporting our community hospital to consider sponsoring or participating in our golf event.”
Those not available or not interested in golfing who would still like to support the hospital can purchase raffle tickets for a number of prizes which will be raffled off. You need not be present to win. Raffle tickets are $5 each, $5 for 20 tickets or $30 for 100 tickets.
Area residents and community advocates who would like to become a sponsor, enter a team of four or purchase raffle tickets can find more information or register at stanthonyshospital.org/golf by Sept. 20. For more information, contact Michael Wall, Director of Philanthropy, at 217-347-1854 or email michael.wall@hshs.org.
