GLEN COVE, N.Y. – Playing in just his second competitive collegiate event, Fordham freshman Liam Howard finished in a tie for 11th on the individual leaderboard to lead the Rams at the Nassau Intercollegiate hosted by LIU at Nassau Country Club.
Entering the day in a tie for ninth, Howard played his opening three holes in three over before finishing the rest of his round in even par.
As a team, Fordham finished 10th out of 13 squads. Oklahoma Christian University won the team title, carding a three-round total of 16 over. Oklahoma Christian’s Oskari Nikku won medalist honors, shooting a Tuesday 72 to finish four under.
Senior Jake Mrva carded a final-round 76 to finish in a tie for 30th place.
Tucker Silva played his final eight holes in two under on his way to a one-over 71, moving him into a share of 35th place.
Chris Konefal finished in a tie for 53rd after a Tuesday 81 while Patrick Ginnity shot a final-round 83 to finish in 67th.
Fordham will return to action on Monday, Oct. 28, when it closes the fall at the Met Intercollegiate hosted by Wagner at Montclair Golf Club in Montclair, N.J.
