The Celtics roll into Sunday’s showdown with the Knicks with a three-game lead in the Atlantic Division standings and with four straight wins in tow. Boston has found a new rhythm after some first-half peaks and valleys and again looks like the team that won the 2023-’24 NBA title, having beaten the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Knicks, among others, within its past 10 games. The Celtics took down the Philadelphia 76ers (124-104) to kick off the second half of their season.
The Knicks are two games into their second half, opening with an overtime victory over the Chicago Bulls (113-111) and falling on the road to the Cavaliers (142-105) on Friday. They stay on the road in Boston before returning home for a Wednesday matchup with the 76ers.
