The NBA has enjoyed a recent influx of elite-level talent. Anthony Edwards, Shai-Gilgeous Alexander, Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic are among the younger names in the league that are viewed as potential future superstars. However, with the advancements within sports science, older stars are remaining at the top of their games for longer. LeBron James is still a top-10 player in the NBA despite closing in on his 40th birthday, and Steph Curry is a top-three point guard at the age of 36.
As such, the NBA is in a strong position. It has multiple star and superstar talents, thus increasing its marketability and pull for new fans, both casual and die-hard. The Boston Celtics will likely reap some of those benefits due to Brad Stevens securing the entire championship-winning core for multiple more years, thus keeping its championship window wide open.
During a recent episode of the “Numbers On The Board” podcast, the hosts discussed the vast array of star talent in the NBA. They dove into each star and began to compile a list of how many elite talents the NBA has throughout the league, how that talent can help draw new fans, and which teams can compete for a championship in the coming years.
