Multiple-time PGA Tour winner Scotty Scheffler, a two-time Masters Tournament winner, will take center stage at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, as the men’s rounds begin in earnest this weekend, culminating with Sunday’s final round.
Here’s when Wyndham Clark, Scottie Scheffler and the rest of the USA Golf Team tees off this weekend.
Olympic golf is similar to the standard format used in regular PGA and LPGA tour events, which typically consist of four rounds of 18 holes each, totaling 72 holes.
Both formats use stroke play to determine the winner.
Unlike regular tour events where the field is much larger, there is no cut in Olympic golf.
Both the men’s and women’s field is set at 60 and all competitors play all four rounds.
PGA and LPGA tour events feature a cut after the first two days of play to get the field down to about 60.
Scottiee Scheffler teed off in the second round of the golf competition at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games at 3 a.m. on Friday, August 2.
