Good morning, Broncos Country.
Despite increased optimism from fans after an eventful offseason, a lot of outlets aren’t bullish on the Denver Broncos in 2024. Pro Football Focus was first this summer to state the Broncos had the worst roster in the National Football League. Now another has entered the chat with an opportunity to throw shade on the orange and blue.
FanDuel, known for their sports betting platform and not their football prognostication or analysis, believes Denver is at the bottom of the barrel—ranking dead last in their preliminary NFL Power Rankings for the upcoming season. No deep thoughts given, just a simple graphic posted to social media.
There is no question the Broncos have to do some work to get back to playoff consideration. They have certainly struggled to hit their stride for quite some time now. However, it makes no sense to believe they got worse than last year. Moreover, that some of last year’s worst teams improved that much more through the draft and free agency to move the needle significantly over Denver.
The Broncos improved and addressed a lot of needs—most importantly the quarterback position. Are they worse than the Carolina Panthers? Heck no! That’s good for a laugh—most engagement farming is.
As always—thank you for reading. Here is today’s slate of articles for Horse Tracks.
