GRAND ISLAND — The Grand Island Police Department is investigating the theft of horse racing equipment from Fonner Park.
The GIPD was notified that horse racing equipment had been stolen from a building near 700 E. Stolley Park Road.
Items stolen included two equipment totes which contained a horse therapy blanket, valued at $2,500.00; four horse girths valued at $200.00 and five horse bridals, valued at $1,000. The total loss is being valued at $3,780.00
The items were stolen between 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 and 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31.
The case is open and under investigation.
