In his first game as a member of the Golden State Warriors, Jimmy Butler wasted little time getting on the board. Butler’s first points as a Warriors came with a bang in the opening minute of Saturday night’s contest against the Chicago Bulls. For the game’s first points, Buddy Hield found Butler at the rim for a lob dunk.
Following his fierce first bucket, Butler never really slowed down. Butler was at the center of a 23-point comeback against the Bulls. Butler tallied 25 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field with four assists and two rebounds. Butler scored 10 of his points in the fourth quarter to help seal the 132-111 comeback victory over the Bulls.
During his Golden State debut, Butler showed the ability to get to the free-throw line consistently. Butler shot 13 free throws on Saturday night, drilling 11 shots from the charity stripe.
Butler fit into Steve Kerr’s offense seamlessly, combing for 59 points alongside his new All-Star teammate, Steph Curry.
