High school tennis athlete Anna Frey recently signed a name, image and likeness deal with Head USA
Elite high school tennis athlete Anna Frey is proving that the influence of young American athletes now extends far beyond national boundaries. She has entered name, image and likeness deals with international brands FILA and Head USA, each with global components.
HEAD will be equipping Frey with the latest in high-performance racquets and gear designed to maximize her unique playstyle and amplify her competitive edge. With her more than 2.1M followers on TikTok and 750K followers on Instagram, Frey is a young athlete with impact both on and off the court.
“HEAD is excited to partner with Anna, both as an influencer and as a tennis player,” said Allison Barnett, Brand Manager, Head USA, Inc. “Her content not only drives tennis interest but has next generation fans excited to engage in the sport.”
The partnership with Frey is expected to help expand the sport’s reach, elevate youth engagement and increase brand visibility.
“I’m so excited to partner with HEAD,” said Anna Frey. “I love their commitment to the sport and to helping athletes reach their full potential. I’m excited to share this journey with you all and continue to encourage young people to pick up a racquet and get out on the court.”
Frey is also the newest brand ambassador for FILA, representing their innovative CASA FILA collection. She will showcase the line both on and off the court, wearing it during her matches and in her daily life to highlight its versatility as performance sportswear and lifestyle fashion.
The partnership officially kicked off during the 2023 US Open, where a pop-up event celebrated the relaunch of the collection in Soho.
“As an athlete, I’ve always admired FILA’s commitment to both athletics and style, so to now be a part of that legacy is truly an honor for me,” said Frey. “I can’t wait to bring my passion for tennis and fashion to this partnership and inspire the next generation both on and off the court.
An exciting aspect of these partnerships for Frey is the chance to travel internationally. She will visit HEAD’s headquarters in Austria, and the collaboration with FILA has the potential to take her to their headquarters in Milan, Italy.
“Partnering with global brands like FILA and Head marks a pivotal moment not just for Anna but for the entire landscape of NIL partnerships,” said her agent, Jeff Hoffman, a partner at Everett Sports Management. “These collaborations exemplify how top-tier athletes can elevate their profiles beyond national boundaries. It’s a testament to the power of strategic marketing that positions Anna as a global ambassador of both sport and style, connecting with audiences far and wide.”
Anna Frey will be promoting the relaunch of CASA FILA.
Anna will visit HEAD’s headquarters in Austria for racquet testing and experimenting and will be spotlighted in their upcoming influencer campaigns. Frey will also be featured in upcoming campaigns for FILA as the 100 year old Italian company continues to roll out its refreshed branding.
Alexi Hecht, the executive director of marketing at ESM, says the deals reflect a new expansion of NIL into the global market.
“Anna’s partnerships with FILA and Head are more than traditional endorsements—they’re powerful alliances that showcase the future of smart marketing in the NIL era. By aligning her talent and unique persona with these iconic brands, we’re creating opportunities that resonate on an international level, emphasizing the shift from local stardom to global influence.”
A junior in high school, Frey is currently the No. 6 ranked girls’ junior tennis athlete in the country and the top ranked in the Mountain region. Her talent on the court combined with her substantial online following is allowing her to lead a new trend of international NIL partnerships for American athletes with global appeal.
