HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The 2025 Hawaii High School Athletic Association’s (HHSAA) Girls Basketball Championships have been moved to McKinley High School due to unsafe playing conditions.
HHSAA officials made the announcement on Saturday ahead of the Division I and Division II Championships at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
All of the consolation games and championship match ups were set to be held at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena, but due to poor floor conditions all games have been moved to alternate sites.
The Campbell-Konawaena and Kohala-Waimea consolation games have been moved to Moanalua high school while the Kamehameha Hawaii-Kapolei game and the DI and DII Championships have been moved to McKinley.
The Division I title game features a rematch of last year’s game between Kamehameha Kapalama and reigning State champion Iolani.
Meanwhile, in Division II, Hanalani is slated to take on Hawaii Baptist Academy.
Tickets for the two championship games are available on the HHSAA website, no admission will be charged at consolation games.
