The Sugar Bowl scheduled for New Year’s Day in New Orleans has been postponed following a devastating attack early Tuesday morning on Bourbon Street that left at least 10 dead and 35 injured.

For those who already bet on the game — a College Football Playoff quarterfinal between Georgia and Notre Dame — and are wondering what happens now to those wagers, it will entirely depend on the house rules of your preferred sportsbook.

The Sugar Bowl is set to kick off after a 24-hour postponement on Thursday evening. Most bets will remain action as long as the game is played within the same scheduling week.

Per MGM:

All Football games and any games/events not specifically listed must be held within one week of the originally scheduled date and at the scheduled venue when the bet was placed to be considered action unless otherwise noted in the specific sports rules section or the inventory game page within the mobile application or web browser application. DraftKings Sportsbook

Per DraftKings:

Games must start in the same scheduling week of the league (for NFL, the scheduling week is Thursday-Wednesday, local stadium time; for NCAA, the scheduling week is Tuesday-Monday, local stadium time) for bets to have action.

FanDuel Sportsbook

Per FanDuel:

Abandoned or postponed games are void unless played within 48 hours. In the event of a change of venue, all bets will be void. All bets on a game that is officially deemed a forfeit will be void.

Caesars Sportsbook

Per Caesars:

If a game is suspended or postponed, the game must be played within 7 days of the original scheduled date or wagers are void. The exception being the final/championship of a competition, in which case all wagers stand for the rescheduled game.

If there is a change of venue for an event, for any reason, wagers placed on this event prior to the location change announcement will be void.
