HENRICO CO, Va. (WWBT) – It’s the holiday season, but a Henrico County Walmart is remembering that it’s also the season of giving.
A manager at the Forest Avenue Walmart spent the morning looking for a shopper to surprise with a $500 gift card.
“Thank you so much. That is so, so sweet,” Walmart gift card recipient Lilianna Ahrens said.
“Here’s $500 for anything that you need for the holidays,” Walmart store manager Jason Weaver said.
Store manager Jason Weaver surprised Lilianna Ahrens and her daughter Violet while shopping at the Forest Avenue Walmart.
Now, the question is: How will Lilianna and Violet will use the $500?
“I honestly don’t know; maybe another baby doll. She loves baby dolls too,” Ahrens said.
Violet’s Christmas list this year includes things like Moana, Frozen, and Bluey.
“I have two of my own, so I do know that they can be kind of pricey. So, that can also help with a lot of the basic needs, that if you have a lot of the holiday stuff purchased, then you can get groceries,” Weaver said.
Weaver says this good deed is a part of Walmart’s mission to help people and provide customers with things at just the right price.
