ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Harding finished fifth at the Holiday Inn Express MWSU Men’s Central Regional Preview, carding a 54-hole total of 887 (+11) at St. Joseph Country Club.
Dennis Staykov led the Bisons with a tie for 18th place, shooting 216 (70-74-72). Finlay Cummings tied for 26th at 219 (71-79-69), while Christian Lindgreen also tied for 26th at 219 (75-72-72). Jose Arzu tied for 26th as well, carding 219 (77-71-71). Jose Manuel Peralta rounded out the Harding contingent, tying for 33rd at 220 (73-73-74).
Peralta excelled on par-5 holes, ranking third with a 4.47 average (-8). Cummings and Staykov also impressed on par-5s, tying for seventh at 4.53 (-7). The Bisons ranked second as a team on par-5s, averaging 4.63 (-28).
Harding recorded 46 birdies, good for fourth among the 19-team field, and tied for fifth in total pars with 155.
Central Oklahoma won the team title with a 27-under 837, while Missouri Western’s Jeffery Johnston took individual honors with a 201 (66-68-67).
The Bisons will conclude their fall season at the Tulsa Cup, hosted by Rogers State at the Club at Indian Springs on Oct. 28-29.
