HUMBLE, Texas — Christian Lindgreen carded a 140 (67-73) to lead Harding to a second-place standing after two rounds at the Houston Classic on Monday.
Lindgreen is tied for second place individually, two strokes behind leader Seth Bearden of Midwestern State. Lindgreen’s impressive performance included 10 birdies, tying him for first place in that category.
Other Harding golfers include Dennis Staykov, Finlay Cummings and Jose Manuel Peralta, all tied for 15th place at 146, and Jose Ignacio Arzu Garci, tied for 55th place with a 153 (75-78).
Competing as an individual, Austin Bibb is tied for 74th place with a 159 (78-81).
As a team, Harding trails Central Oklahoma by nine strokes. The Bisons posted a 578 (286-292), while Central Oklahoma leads with a 569 (289-280).
Harding excelled on par-5 holes, ranking second with a 4.83 average, and also led the field with two eagles, courtesy of Dennis Staykov and Jose Manuel Peralta. The Bisons were second in birdies with 32.
The final round will be played Tuesday.
