NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – In another boost for basketball fans across Louisiana, WVUE-TV and Gray Media are excited to announce that Cox Cable will now carry the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network.
The partnership will bring New Orleans Pelicans games to Cox subscribers in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Mobile-Pensacola, with all 75 non-national network games set to air on GCSEN.

In the New Orleans area, the Pelicans’ season opener against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, Oct. 23, will be temporarily available on Cox channel 129. However, starting Friday, Oct. 25, the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network will move to its permanent home on Cox channel 10.

“We’re dedicated to providing Pelicans games to as many viewers as possible,” said Mikel Schaefer, VP and General Manager of WVUE-TV. “With the addition of Cox Cable, we’re enhancing our sports lineup and ensuring that fans can enjoy every game without any barriers.”
The FOX 8 Live Tailgate pre-game show begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday, followed by the Pelicans pre-game show at 6:30 p.m. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. Post-game coverage will follow.

The Pelicans season opener will be simulcast on WVUE FOX 8.
