RACINE, WI — Grind Season Gym is in Racine more than a place to sweat—it’s where lives are transformed, friendships are built, and goals are crushed.
Dajerrian Smith founded his fitness business in 2016 and grew it into a beacon of health, resilience, and community where it now has a permanent, physical location.
For Smith, Grind Season Gym culminates life lessons, family values, and unwavering faith.
“Grind Season was inspired by the morals my parents taught me, the blessings God gave me, and the lessons I’ve learned in life,” Smith shares. “The concept of grinding—a commitment to consistent effort—has always been a great equalizer for me.”
The journey hasn’t been easy, but Smith wouldn’t trade it for anything.
“It’s been a roller coaster with its highs and lows,” he admits. “But I’d do it all over again. It’s better to take the chance than to live with ‘what if.’”
Grind Season Gym caters to a diverse clientele, offering something for everyone:
Grind Season isn’t just Racine’s longest-standing locally-owned gym; it’s a hub for personalized fitness, expert guidance, and a sense of belonging.
The gym boasts a team of experienced trainers with over 30 years of combined expertise and offers unique amenities like energy teas and protein shakes at GROW Nutrition, using Herbalife products, which are designed to support muscle recovery and overall health.
Additionally, the gym provides vitamin injections at GLOW Vitamin Lounge, which can help boost energy levels and support immune function with faster nutrient absorption directly into the bloodstream.
Smith’s vision extends beyond fitness.
“Having a community at Grind Season is crucial,” he explains. “It’s what keeps the lights on and changes lives.”
From themed workouts and customer appreciation days to free training giveaways and competitions, Smith prioritizes making every member feel valued and supported.
Smith offers simple but powerful advice for newcomers:
