Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria will for his fourth final appearance on the main tour this year as he goes up against the giant-slaying Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands on Saturday at the 2024 Stockholm Open. Dimitrov moved to the semifinal on Friday by best besting Dominic Stricker 6-3 6-2. The Bulgarian amassed 35 winners and broke serves thrice to seize control of the entire match. Ranked No.10 in the world, Dimtrov is targeting his second title this year along with precious ATP world ranking points as he fights for a spot in the ATP Tour Finals in Turin next month. Griekspoor pulled of a colossal upset in the quarterfinal, beating one of the tournament favorites Casper Ruud 7-5 7-6 (5). Apart from his 45 winners, Griekspoor showed top-notch defense to hold 100 percent of his serves vs. Ruud, who absorbed his fourth loss in five matches.
