APPLETON – Luke Oelhafen’s 3-pointer with 6.1 seconds left proved to be the deciding points in the Hawks’ thrilling victory against Bay Conference leader West De Pere.
The win moves the Hawks to a two-way tie atop the Bay Conference at 11-1 with the Phantoms with two games remaining in league play.
The Hawks (17-5 overall) trailed 63-59 but a 3-pointer from Logan Ramczyk pulled Xavier to within one with 35.3 seconds left.
West De Pere (13-6) had possession but turned the ball over with just under 30 seconds remaining. Xavier then worked the time down to Oelhafen’s game-winning shot.
West De Pere had a shot to tie or take the lead but failed to hit as time expired.
Ramczyk scored 28 points to lead the Hawks, with Jonah Gentry adding 11 off the bench.
Bryce Borowicz and Nick Greisen each had 12 points to lead West De Pere.

MARINETTE – The Truckers led by seven points at halftime and held off the Marines for the North Eastern Conference win.
Sam Wegener scored 24 points to lead Clintonville, including 16 points in the second half. Carter Mauel added 19 points.
