WAUKESHA – Ashwaubenon finished in fifth place in the team standings with 158 points at Waukesha South High School.
McFarland won its second consecutive team title and eighth in program history, finishing with 283 points. McFarland won eight of the 12 events, including five individual events and three relays. Rhinelander was second with 235 points.
Anthony Hendrickson led Ashwaubenon with two fifth-place finishes. He was fifth in the 200-yard individual medley and fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 57.97 seconds.
The Division 1 state meet is Saturday, with diving competition beginning at 9:30 a.m. and swimming events at 2:30 p.m.
