AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Thousands of children in Georgia don’t have a family to call their own.
News 12 has begun a partnership with the nonprofit Grant Me Hope, which works to find homes for older children in the foster care system.
Today we want to introduce you to 12-year-old Larry.
“I like to play sports,” he said. His favorite sport is football, and his favorite team is the Chiefs.
“When I grow up, I want to be a football player,” he said.
In addition to the Chiefs, he’s a fan of French fries, and his favorite time of year is Christmas.
The perfect home for him would be a large family, he says.
“A perfect parent for me is when someone would care for me and be loving and kind,” he said.
He’d like to have siblings, like a younger brother, a younger sister and at least one big sister.
