PITTSBURG – The Pittsburg State University men’s golf team is set to begin the Spring semester with the Shadow Valley Invitational at Rogers, Ark., Monday (Mar. 3) at the Shadow Valley Country Club.
After wrapping up the fall semester slate, the Gorillas sit in 10th place in the MIAA standings after two conference designated point tournaments. Pitt State will bring five individuals this weekend; Mason White, Keaton Thissen, Carson Towey, Tyler Hardtarfer and Tanner John.
Last time out at the Washburn Invitational (Oct. 21-22), the Gorillas finished 11th as a team with White leading the individuals at +6 and finishing tied for 23rd place among individuals. Hardtarfer (+11) finished tied for 45th and Thissen rounded out the top-three scorers with a +12 to finish tied for 49th.
