Watch for signs on the course, such as cart paths only, keep cart away from the green, etc.
Golf etiquette is the first thing a novice golfer should learn before going to the golf course. Etiquette is as vital as learning swing mechanics. Beginner golfers will naturally play slower than seasoned golfers; that’s a given. But there is no need to hold up the course; below are a few tips to help you enjoy this great game called golf.
First and foremost, allow faster players to play through by motioning to them to do so, step aside, and let them play ahead of your group.
Keep your golf cart on the designated areas and at least thirty feet from the putting surfaces. Pay attention to posted signs such as cart paths only.
Please repair your pitch marks on the greens and replace your divots on the fairways and tees.
