CAMBRIDGE — West Muskingum’s Kyle Porter opened the golf season in rare fashion on Thursday.
Porter made a hole-in-one on the 8th hole at Cambridge Country Club, as the Tornadoes won a five-team meet with 320 for 18 holes.
Meadowbrook was second with 350, Crooksville had 364, River View shot 389, and Cambridge scored 413.
Reid Lemity carded 72 for medalist honors to lead West M, while Nick Anton had 81, Porter 82 and Jack Touvell 85.
Steven Grafton and Ben Coss posted 85s, Kam Winnett an 88 and Colton Delancey a 92 for the Colts; Bo White shot 76, Gabe Sandefur an 88 and Drew Horn and Brayden Watts 100s for the Ceramics; Gavin Gress had a 73, Caleb Kline a 90, Reid Johnson 112 and Peyton Everhart 114 for the Black Bears; and Mason Gregg carded a 97, Jax VanDyne and Austin Jenkins 102s and Garrett Carpenter a 112 for the Bobcats.

John Glenn fifth at Garaway Invite: The Muskies totaled 313 behind a 72 by Noah Dever to place fifth in a deep field at the Garaway Pirate Invitational on Thursday at Zoar.
North Canton Hoover won with 291 with St. Clairsville second at 305. Hiland and Worthington Christian tied for third at 310.
CJ Dolan added a 76, Cooper Briggs an 82, and JT Orecchio an 83 for John Glenn’s total.
Hoover’s Dan Gambone shot 69 for medalist honors.
