MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Quinnipiac women’s golf program returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 8, as they compete on day one (36 holes) of the Columbia Classic at the Duran Golf Club. The Bobcats will conclude the competition on Sunday, Feb. 9, with the final 18 holes to be played.

TRIP DOWN TO FLORIDA
- The Quinnipiac women’s golf program begins their spring schedule in Melbourne, Florida, as they compete in the Columbia Classic at the Duran Golf Club.
- The Bobcats will play two rounds (36 continuous holes) on day one of the tournament before wrapping up with 18 holes on the final day.
CAPTAIN SANDHYA
- Head Coach John O’Connor named Sandhya Vaikuntam the team captain on January 21st.
- “Sandhya has developed into the leader for the golf team and has taken on the task of leading one of the best golf teams ever to compete for Quinnipiac. Sandhya has earned the respect of the golf team and continues to bring them together to return the championship trophy to Quinnipiac. Sandhya continues to work hard at practice, in the weight room and in the classroom, and is the epitome of a team leader.” – Head Coach John O’Connor
FALL SEASON RECAP
- The Bobcats competed in four tournaments in their fall season, highlighted by hosting the Quinnipiac Classic (Oct. 14-15).
- The team’s best finish was a second-place finish in their first tournament of the year, the Red Bandana Intercollegiate hosted by Boston College.
- QU played in the 15-team Navy Fall Invitational and finished in 5th place, finishing with a team score of +39.
- The Bobcats finished in a tie for third place in the Quinnipiac Classic, held at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn.
- Quinnipiac wrapped up their fall schedule with the Lady Blue Hen Invitational. QU sat in 5th place after the first day and stormed back on the second day to earn a second-place finish.
2025 SPRING SCHEDULE
- The Bobcats open their spring slate with two tournaments down in Florida, beginning with the Columbia Classic (Feb. 8-9) in Melbourne, Florida.
- Quinnipiac will be back down in Florida on March 10-11 as they compete in the Butler Invitational at the Ardea Country Club in Oldsmar, Florida.
- After their second trip to Florida, the Bobcats will head down to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Low Country Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford (Mar. 21-23).
- QU will compete in the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J. (April 5-6) before competing in the MAAC Tournament from April 17-19.
