Fairfax, Va. – The George Mason golf program will open its Spring Championship season at the Dorado Beach Collegiate Tournament in Puerto Rico, February 23-25.
 
Mason finished 10th in the 17-team tournament last season, besting the program’s 12th place finish in 2022. The Patriots finish with the best 36-hole mark vs. par in Mason history with a first round 280 and second-round 281 for a combined 561 (-15).

The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par 72, 7,112-yard TPC Dorado Beach Sugarcane Course. Mason will compete for three straight days, beginning Sunday in the 13-team field.

Junior Samir Davidov led the Patriots in the 2024 fall season with a 71.83 stroke average, followed closely by sophomore Vijay Powell (73.33).

 

Three players, Davidov, Vaughn McMeans, and Logan Paczewski earned a top 10 finish in the fall. Four Patriots earned Top 25 finishes to help the Patriots finish an average of 5.5.
