PALM DESERT, Calif. — Montana State women’s golf opened up their spring slate with a 4-1 loss to Seattle U in match play on Monday, getting action started at Mountain Classic Match Play in Palm Desert, California.
Playing at the Classic Club, Montana State got a win from Maddie Montoya (4&3) over Seattle U’s Aaryanna Morris, but saw battles go to the Redhawks at the other four spots.

Montana State will face Portland State on Tuesday in a consolation match.
The Vikings fell to Boise State in Monday’s quarterfinal by a score of 5-0.
