KELLEYS ISLAND, Ohio — Three women were flown by helicopter to hospitals in Toledo and Cleveland after they were ejected from a golf cart when it crashed into trees Friday night.
A news release from the State Highway Patrol says Eleanor Austin, 27, of Clyde, was taken to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, while Stela Francic, 25, and Brenda Mesa, 21, both of Sandusky, were flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. All suffered serious injuries in the crash, the patrol says.
