Guse comes to SIUE from Rockford Lutheran High School where he recorded a 70.8 scoring average his senior year while earning Medalist honors at the Luna Invitational with a 66 and the St. Bede’s Invitational with a 68.

A four-time Big Northern Conference selection, Guse also was a three-time sectional champion, winning three straight years from his sophomore year through his senior year. He also was a Regional Champion his senior year.
Guse earned three top-10 finishes at the Illinois High State High School Tournament, finishing fourth as sophomore, seventh as junior and fifth as senior.
He had five top-10 finishes in 2024 IJGA summer events including a low round of 66 at Cog Hill.
“He has the strength to step right into Division I golf and be successful,” Brown added. “I look forward to having him on campus next fall.”
