SOUTHINGTON, CT — A support organization for the Town of Southington’s social services department is hosting a special shopping benefit event Saturday that will help those in need.
The Friends of Southington Community Services is hosting “Shop ‘Til You Drop’ on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 75 Center St., Southington.
It will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at the former site of a restaurant/bar that was named after the address.
There, participants will be able to pick from a wide variety of items in a curated collection of designer luxury bags, mid-range bags, furs, collectibles,, and “gorgeous jewelry.”
The organization is urging groups of friends to get together and plan an afternoon of shopping, with proceeds not helping a corporation’s bottom line, but a town’s community.
The items are priced to fit any budget, according to event organizers.
“Find your new favorite piece, all while making a real difference,” reads an event announcement.
