La Liga outfit Girona have on Saturday been dealt a double blow on the personnel front.
This comes owing to developments in the club’s meeting with Deportivo Alavés.
Girona are fresh off making it back-to-back league wins, courtesy of a hard-fought, last-gasp 1-0 victory at Mendizorrotza.
En route to as much, however, Míchel’s troops, who have been forced to deal with a whole host of injury problems this season, were dealt a pair of fresh blows.
First, during the first-half on Saturday, Miguel Gutiérrez was forced to withdraw from proceedings owing to what has since been described as a knock.
Then, on the stroke of the interval, Yangel Herrera was shown a yellow card.
His 5th of the La Liga campaign to date, as much means that midfielder Yangel will be unavailable for Girona’s meeting with Sevilla next weekend.
Gutiérrez’s status for the fixture remains to be confirmed.
