According to research from Nuffield Health’s fourth annual Healthier Nation Index, 33% of Britons have not dedicated any time to physical activity in the last 12 months, with almost 3 in 4 people still not reaching the NHS’s recommended 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week.
There are of course plenty of reasons why people feel they don’t have time to train, from family commitments to financial barriers. In Nuffield’s Healthier Nation Index, over half (53%) of those surveyed stated a “lack of motivation” as the biggest barrier to exercise, closely followed by 49% of people citing a “lack of energy”.
