The collegiate women’s basketball season is coming to an end in a few weeks, and Georgia has four games left on the docket, three of them against nationally ranked teams.
Things have gone pretty bad since the new year started for the Lady Bulldogs, who had one win in the entire month of January with a two-point game over Missouri and went 8-6 in 2024. They’ve taken beatings from several ranked teams, like No. 6 South Carolina, No. 14 Kentucky, No. 19 Alabama and even No. 20 Georgia Tech.
They still have No. 2 Texas and No. 13 Tennessee ahead.
LSU only has two losses on the season, dropping this week from No. 5 to No. 7, but still looking to come back for another national title after the quarterfinal upset in last year’s national tournament to Iowa. Whoever wins this one will hold the upper hand in the all-time series between these two SEC schools, which are tied 27-27 overall dating back to 1982.
