Gen Z shoppers are 2X more likely to buy holiday gifts this season compared to the average shopper — and 10.5X more likely than Baby Boomers. But in order to afford all those holiday purchases, this generational cohort plans to cut back on experiential expenditures such as dining, travel and entertainment. In fact, 74% of Gen Z said they plan to reduce their spending in these areas, compared to 59% of all shoppers.
