FINDLAY, Ohio – Senior Ditte Petersen (Dianalund, Denmark/Sorø Akademi Skole) moved into 11th place and freshman Alexandria LeCureux (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston) was in 14th place as they helped the Gannon women’s golf team into seventh place in the team standings after the opening day of the two-day William Beall Fall Classic.
Petersen shot a 3-over-par 147 (72-75) in 36 holes while moving into 11th place in the 93-player field, while LeCureux shot a 4-over 148 that included a 1-over 73 in the second round.
Gannon moved between fifth and seventh place for most of the day before closing at 607, just two strokes out of fifth place. Host Findlay leads the 18-team tournament with a 579 and owns a four-shot lead over Missouri-St. Louis.
