Congratulations to Latrell Wright of Salesianum basketball, the Delaware Online Athlete of the Week for Week 8 of the winter sports season.
The junior scored 18 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, including a game-winner with seconds remaining, to lead the Sals to a 69-68 comeback win over Middletown on Jan. 24.
Wright won an online vote over four other nominees.
Nominees are announced each Monday. Voting is free on Delaware Online and runs Monday through Thursday, with the winner announced Friday.
