Rocco Vata netted a lovely opener, twisting and driving past the visitors’ goalkeeper. Watford scored a superb equaliser from around 30 yards, but that did not dent Fulham’s resolve.
They came back re-energised in the second half and ran away with it, their non-stop attacking never waning in intensity and tormenting the Watford back five.

The only minor shortcoming was that they did not score more – arguably they had ample chances to do so – but Marco Silva will not see that as too much of an issue.
