GUILFORD, Maine (WABI) – Saturday marks the 4th Annual Cycl-a-thon in Guilford.
The two-mile bike, run, or walk event supports the Friends of Community Fitness community center with registration proceeds and door prizes.
“We serve people of all ages, means, and abilities. We have over 35 programs every week that are free for our members. It normally raises about $30,000 every year. This year with our pledges, if we’re able to get to our goal of 250 loops, we will be collecting over $12,000 just in pledges alone,” said Britney Gallagher, Executive Director, Friends of Community Fitness.
Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. with the loop running from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Two kids bikes will be raffled off at 10 a.m. with the rest of the door prizes to come at 12:30 p.m.
There’s a barbecue too.
