Getaway Car worked Friday for the first time since finishing fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
Trained by Bob Baffert, the Curlin colt won his debut and the Grade 3 Best Pal but is 0-for-3 since. He was fourth in the Del Mar Futurity (G1) and second in the American Pharoah (G1). In each loss, he was beaten by a stablemate.
On Friday, he worked four furlongs in 48.00 seconds at Santa Anita, sixth fastest of 47 at the distance.
Getaway Car was one of 15 graded-stakes winners with published works Friday.
