Getaway Car worked Friday for the first time since finishing fourth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.

Trained by Bob Baffert, the Curlin colt won his debut and the Grade 3 Best Pal but is 0-for-3 since. He was fourth in the Del Mar Futurity (G1) and second in the American Pharoah (G1). In each loss, he was beaten by a stablemate.

On Friday, he worked four furlongs in 48.00 seconds at Santa Anita, sixth fastest of 47 at the distance.

Getaway Car was one of 15 graded-stakes winners with published works Friday.

Major Dude (Bolt d’Oro), a two-time Grade 2 winner (2023 Penn Mile, 2022 Pilgrim), worked four furlongs in 50.3 seconds at Palm Beach Downs on Friday morning. It was the 13th fastest of 18 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won an allowance race going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Keeneland on Oct. 10 for trainer Todd Pletcher.
