Frances Tiafoe’s US Open journey ended with a bitter pill to swallow as he suffered a semi-final defeat to Taylor Fritz. However, Tiafoe quickly recovered from the loss and showed a whole new side of himself yesterday. He and his girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield, turned heads at the Off-White Spring Show in New York, stepping out in style and making a statement in the fashion world. IB Kamara, the creative director of the company, also received recognition from Tiafoe for introducing Off-White’s Milan-based appearance to the American audience.
The American star took to his Instagram account to share a series of pictures with his girlfriend in which he was seen donning a denim outfit with a white T-shirt. Sharing the pictures, Tiafoe wrote, “@off____white SPRING 2025, Big S/O to @ibkamara unreal show brotha ✊🏿✊🏿🇸🇱🇸🇱.”

After losing the semi-final though, Tiafoe stirred up attention with a bold comment, as he claimed he was the better player on the semi-final night despite losing to Taylor Fritz. While that statement might have been made in the heat of the moment, the fans didn’t take it well and Tiafoe faced quite a bit of criticism for it.
Fans were glued to their seats throughout the semi-final match between Tiafoe and Fritz. Tiafoe got off to a great start, but he couldn’t keep up the pace and towards the end of the match, looked a little bit of exhausted. However, he said he wasn’t tired. He also suffered cramps. Tiafoe addressed the turning point of the match in a candid admission in the post-match press conference.

“I mean, I was the better player for sure tonight, I think, in the fourth set. Had these in-and-out cramps out of nowhere; it felt like my body just shut down on me. Probably had a lot to do with nerves because I wasn’t tired at all,” the 21-year-old said.
Tiafoe’s post-match remarks drew criticism as the fans were of the opinion that he had his moments in the match, but he was not a better player by any means, because towards the end, Fritz just ran away with the contest. Nonetheless, the US Open semi-final is history now. Tiafoe seems to have moved on, as he spends time with his girlfriend at the Off-White Spring Show.
