The BCH Classic was founded by Steve and Devon Harris as a way to give back to Alabama’s foster care system. After adopting their son, Brian Charles Harris, through the Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Connections (APAC) program—a partnership between the Children’s Aid Society of Alabama and the Alabama Department of Human Resources—the Harrises were inspired to create this annual event.
“Adopting our son was a dream come true,” said Devon Harris. “We want to help other families experience that same joy.” As the GM of Rock Creek Golf Club, Steve Harris saw the perfect opportunity to support the Children’s Aid Society of Alabama (CAS), a nonprofit dedicated to serving children, youth, and families throughout the state.
In addition to raising funds, participants are encouraged to bring new or gently used suitcases to donate, ensuring foster children have a dignified way of transporting their belongings.
Join us for a day of golf, goodwill, and community spirit, and help make a difference in the lives of Alabama’s foster children.
