Yahoo Fantasy contributor Sal Vetri offers his four findings that will help managers find success in the third week of fantasy football including the sketchy spot, pickup and play, and an interesting trend to watch.
Here are four key findings that will help you win your week three fantasy football matchup starting with finding number one and that’s the pickup and play of the week.
And that’s the 49 Ers wide receiver Juan Jennings, Svo Samuel is expected to miss this game.
The 49 ers don’t have Christian mccaffrey and they don’t have their rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall who’s recovering from a gunshot wound and look Jennings has been solid when given opportunities in this 49er passing game last year when he played over 50% of the snaps in six games.
He went over 10 fantasy points four times.
He’s a solid flex play this week against the Rams 24th ranked secondary.
According to Pff finding number two is the sketchy spot of the week and this is for the veteran wide receiver Mike Evans who’s had a solid start to his season through two games.
He has over 100 yards and two touchdowns.
Now, Evans has played 70% of his snaps on the outside so far and that’s important because this week he has a tough matchup against Patrick Certan who has played 89% of his snaps on the outside and through two games, Certan has only allowed five catches for 70 yards and has shut down both DK Mac and George Pickens.
Finding number three is an interesting trend to watch and this is the Lions defense against opposing receivers because so far this season, the Lions have allowed 22 slot catches for over 250 receiving yards by far the most in the league.
Now, we can’t draw any conclusions from this because it’s only been two weeks and they face quality receivers like Cooper Cup and Chris Gwin.
However, this is a trend to watch and in week three, they’ll face the Arizona Cardinals slot receiver Greg Dorsch.
I’m not expecting much from Dorsch, but in week four, they face Jackson Smith, the Jig of the Seahawks.
And in week five, they face CD lamb of the Cowboys and finding number four is the best spot of the week and this is for the Commanders running back, Brian Robinson as he takes on the Cincinnati Bengals has had a strong role to start the season, seeing 74% of the Commanders carries.
And in week two, he had over 100 and 30 total yards on 18 touches.
And maybe most importantly, he currently ranks top 10 in broken tackles and that’s important against the Bengals team that allows the six most yards after contact this season.
So despite being a big underdog this week, I still think Brian Robinson is in store for an efficient game and you can start him.
So these have been my four key findings that will help you win your week three matchup.
All you have to do now as always is take this information, put it into your brain to smack around your competition with.
