VERMILLION, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The University of South Dakota Women’s Basketball team is mourning the loss of a former player.
The team posted on social media Monday night that Bridget (Arens) Schumacher passed away, and asked for thoughts and prayers for her family.
An obituary by Wintz Funeral Home states Schumacher unexpectedly passed on Friday, October 25th at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.
A funeral is scheduled for 10:30 am Saturday, November 2nd at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton, Nebraska.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 1st from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
