A former Clemson player is headed from the CFL to the NFL.
The Indianapolis Colts announced Friday they signed Ajou Ajou to a reserve/future contract.
The 6-3, 218-pound wide receiver recorded 20 receptions for 307 yards and two touchdowns across 12 games for the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2024, after being selected by the Roughriders in the seventh round (59th overall) of the 2024 CFL Draft.
Prior to turning pro, Ajou played collegiately at Garden City (Kan.) Community College (2023) and South Florida (2022) after beginning his college career at Clemson (2020-21).
In his lone season at Garden City Community College, Ajou posted 17 catches for 186 yards and two touchdowns in seven games. In 2022, he had had two receptions for 9 yards in one game at USF.
A Canada native, Ajou caught eight passes for 114 yards and one touchdown over 22 career games in his two years at Clemson. The former four-star prospect played two years of high school football in Canada and one in Florida, while he also played basketball and competed as a high jumper in Edmonton. He was recruited to Clemson by Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott, and was the first Clemson football signee from Canada.
Ajou first entered the NCAA transfer portal in December 2021 following that regular season at Clemson, his sophomore campaign. He then transferred to play for Scott and USF in 2022 but only played in one game due to injury.
We have signed WR Ajou Ajou to a reserve/future contract.
