Former Utah Jazz player Kenny Lofton Jr. has officially found another NBA home. Lofton Jr. signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bulls and will be showcasing his talents to try to make the team beyond training camp.
Lofton Jr. was not a Jazzman for long, but his scoring ability made an impression. He averaged 13.8 points, 5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, on a 60/33/82 shooting clip in four games. His best game was against the La Clippers, where he scored 27 points, and had 9 rebounds and 8 assists.
Kenny also played for the SLC Stars. In eight games he averaged 23.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists, on 58/32/51 shooting splits. He dazzled fans in one particular game when he scored 53 points and had 16 rebounds for the Stars.
When Lofton Jr. and Bazley were waived, there was a chance they could be re-signed by the Utah Jazz. The Jazz’s free agency signings made it likely that both Lofton Jr. and Bazley would not be returning. While the Jazz are in this soft rebuild era, don’t be surprised to see several players only be part of the organization for a year.
