IRVINE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Former Fresno State quarterback Derek Carr is gearing up for his 11th season in the NFL. Carr is entering year two with the New Orleans Saints. The ex-Bulldog guided the Saints to a (9-8) finish in 2023.
Carr is still trying to reach his ultimate goal of becoming a Super Bowl champion. The Saints quarterback says there’s a standard within the Saints organization that has to be met.
“There’s definitely a heightened sense of urgency. You feel it. We’re still having a great time but its hard. This offseason was one of the hardest offseason’s I’ve ever been a part of” said Carr.
The Saints begin the 2024 season on September 9 hosting the Carolina Panthers.
