Huntington 27, Adena 21 (OT): Isaac Taylor’s 20-yard TD run in overtime gave the Huntsmen (3-7, 2-5 SVC) a season-ending win over the Warriors. Huntington took a 21-13 lead into the fourth quarter, but Adena would drive 86 yards and score when Darian Thomas connected with Fisher Schaaf to make it 21-19. A 2-point conversion from Thomas to Austin Magill tied it up.
Huntington got the scoring done early as Dalton Nichols returned the opening kickoff 81 yards for a touchdown. They would go up 14-0 on Taylor’s first TD of the game. A touchdown by Wes Hamilton in the second quarter made it 21-0.
Adena (3-7, 1-6 SVC) got some of it back before halftime as Thomas hit Joey Francis on a 14-yard score. They made it 21-13 when Thomas ran in it from the 1 with less than five minutes in the half.
Taylor had 102 yards rushing to lead the Huntsmen.
