State of Florida Recruiting H.Q.: RBs Shawn Simeon and Javian Mallory
Naples 2025 RB Shawn Simeon, West Boca 2026 RB Javian Mallory and UCF reporter Chris Boyle join hosts Jon Santucci and Nick Wilson.
Recruiting flip season can be a trying time for college football fanbases.
That’s even more true if your team is struggling. Take Florida State and UCF for example. The Seminoles and Knights have combined for four wins this season, but have lost a total of 10 commits through October.
UCF’s 2025 class is amid a major shakeup following Ted Roof’s dismissal. The Knights lost three defensive commits over three days, two of which have already flipped their pledges.
Mainland defensive lineman Christian Hudson flipped to Colorado on Friday, and Pace EDGE Tylon Lee followed suit the next day by flipping to Ole Miss while on a visit in Oxford.
Hudson and Lee were not the first players this cycle to flip their commitment, and they certainly won’t be the last.
The USA Today Florida Network has you covered with this recruiting tracker, which will be updated regularly with notable flips, commitments, and decommitments through National Signing Day.
