The petrochemical complex has made its 14-acre grounds in the centre of Holbury available to the community for several years.
As part of its long-term commitment to the communities it serves, it is now providing new long-term rent-free leases.
This will allow local residents, as well as football, cricket, bowls, and tennis clubs, to plan for the future and secure funding from external agencies.
The Fawley site has also contributed £200,000 to help fund new changing and toilet facilities.
These will be used by Fawley Association Football Club during the winter months and Fawley Cricket Club in the summer.
Scott Johnston, commercial director, Fawley AFC and Fawley CIC said: “We are extremely grateful to ExxonMobil for providing this vital head start, which will help us lay the foundation for a long-term, sustainable future.
“While there is still a long journey ahead, this support is a crucial step towards developing facilities that will benefit players for generations to come.”
ExxonMobil has also agreed to contribute to the clubs’ gas, electricity, and water costs, which will help the clubs become self-sufficient.
Discussions are also underway to place the site’s community garden under the care of Fawley Parish Council.
The aim is to open conversations with local residents to define its purpose and ensure the space is used to its maximum potential.
