FSU football head coach Mike Norvell talks early signing day, 2025 recruiting class
National signing day is here and Florida State football is set to add more names to its 2025 recruiting class.
The Seminoles currently hold commitments from offensive linemen Chavez Thompson and Chastan Brown alongside legacy defensive back Antonio Cromartie Jr.
FSU was active in the early signing period, landing 20 commitments from the high school ranks to add to the 16 transfers brought into the program by head coach Mike Norvell. With the majority of the top prospects off the board, the Seminoles remain in consideration of one of the nation’s top edge rushers.
Zahir Mathis is a 4-star recruit out of Imhotep Insitute in Maryland and he is set to announce his college decision Wednesday afternoon, deciding between the Seminoles and the University of Maryland. He is ranked as the 114th best player in the nation and 12th best EDGE according to 247Sports composite rankings.
As signing day takes place, the Tallahassee Democrat’s Liam Rooney will provide live updates on all the happenings.
The Seminoles class is currently ranked second in the ACC, only trailing in-state rival Miami in the 247Sports composite industry rankings.
